1-Rack Case

The customer was a cabinet manufacturer and supplier in Atlanta, America.

Firstly, he took us for a visit of the old warehouse in the western area. This warehouse covered about 50,000 SF, equipped with standard pallet racks of American style. The specifications were:

L144"xD42"xH25' inch; width of lane, 66 inch; size of pallet, 48*42 inch; bearing-load capacity, 2500/per pallet; 5 beams/6 storage levels.

With the rapid development of this company, the insufficient space could not satisfy products. We carefully inspected the warehouse and found three main problems:

• Unmatched sizes between shelf and product (incovenience)
• Relatively narrower lane(66") than forklift
• Single rack fixed independently (instability)

The customer agreed with it but had troubles in solving it. Then he showed us the new warehouse in the eastern area, close to HOME DEPOT. This new warehouse covered 235,000 SF with the usable height of 28 F. He had wanted to use pallet racks of the same specification in the old warehouse before. Given our advice, he decided to invite us to improve the awkward condition. We provided a new solution of storage rack, of which the specifications were:

L96"xD36"xH28' inch; width of lane, 78 inch; size of pallet, 42*42 inch; bearing-load capacity, 2500/per pallet; 5 beams/6 storage levels.

We suggested to adopt new pallets for narrowing the depth, widen the width of lane, add wall bracket and dragon beam.

The project was successfully finished in October 2018.
